Chefs in the making

Four dish meal whipped up by chef dings and chef boyfriend~
Cereal prawns, Tofu omelette Stir-fry vegetables, and Grilled chicken chop.

xxx

Cooking Saturday as usual as he picked me up after his class from my hall (and gave me 8 missed calls to ask where I was - and in my defense I was bathing so I obviously didn't have my phone with me PLUS he was 30 minutes early. Not me.) We drove to West Mall again like last week to shop for groceries.

BUT BEFORE THAT.
Mandatory llao llao every week ((: Omnomnomnom. "Choice of crunch and three fruits?"

I think we are like addicted. Once a week. Hahaha.

After we got the ingredients, we started cooking - no time to waste.
Cereal prawn - pretty good honestly
Stir-fry vegetables - overcooked, super bitter
Chicken chop - YUMYUM i love chicken
Tofu omelette - a little bland.. maybe meat omelette is still a better idea.

Going off to invent new food~~ KIDDING

Brooke Dinner

Finally after two weeks of planning, my Brooke babies finally met up!! (:

It was supposed to be like 6.30pm at Jurong Point but I was late... so kinda met them at around 7pm and we headed to Fish&Co. for some yumyum. (And yes Jurong Point has Fish&Co., it's hidden somewhere at Level 3, near the GV cinemas). We didn't have to queue long, mainly because we agreed to sit outside I think, the exterior sitting areas were not air-conditioned and I suppose that's why...

Great talk with my freshies as we caught up with the past weeks of what we are doing, intertwined with like many kps and name-calling and laughter and lots and lots of fun. Just so super excited to see them again after Bike Rally.

Fish&Co. adopted the iPad ordering system, which is probably a good idea actually, since they are always so understaffed.. On a side note, they have jail-broke their iPads hahah which was actually an interesting observation by Zac (IKR how would someone notice that ever). AND they deleted the camera app, we really wanted to take a selfie with it for them.. Better luck next time I guess..

Ordered some grilled chicken dish with scallops and sides of seasonal vegetables and coleslaw. Hmm.. The food tasted pretty alright but the portion... Wasn't really alright.. Hahaha it was kinda little for $18.95 but at least it tasted alright(:

More than thankful that they took out time on Friday night to meet up and just talk about everything(:
And definitely looking forward to more of such dinners!

Lactose Intolerant

Couldn't resist the cute packaging of this MILK!!!! Hahaha

And yes I am lactose intolerant and yes I drank it. Every single drop. It has been really long since I last drank milk though...

It's delicious btw. Hahaha I mean how can a drink in such cute packaging not taste good? (Their marketing is obviously working)

Never regretted joining this comm because of all the loves I have found in there. Of course, it wasn't smooth sailing and I cannot say for sure that everyone loves me but at least I love them(:

Surprise surprise

So I wanted to surprise my boy.

So I sneaked into this room.

So I stuck the million photos I printed on the wall.

So I tried to escape without getting found out.

So I met his roomie at the door.

-awkward-

So he didn't sell me out. THANKS!

So the boy had a great surprise when he entered the room(:

Happy tenth!

KFC Cravings Checked

Satisfied tummies and happy faces. Can't remember how long I haven't eaten KFC because I cut out fast food totally when I was losing those extra inches...

KFC standards really dropped a lot though.. their chicken pieces are like miniature now compared to the ones way back when I was stuffing myself with fried chicken (yea that's how I ballooned, or should I say that was the start of my ballooning...)

Back to healthy food~~

New World

Dinner with this boy today because we are both in school during recess week..
Tried the zhichar stall at New World (at Can A beside KFC) and it was alright I guess.. We ordered a minced meat omelette, sambal kangkong, san lao hor fun and lemon chicken. And also a cup of honey green tea (medium) with jelly. Total bill was $30.80. Hahaha.

The sambal kangkong was a little too salty, but still edible no worries. Jeremy loves omelettes so the minced meat omelette was probably his favourite though I thought it was a little too oily (I am so picky omg) and chicken never goes wrong. San lao hor fun was pretty alright but the boy didn't really enjoy it. Yummy drink because it's like our paktor drink since last year~

And as I was saying, recess week.

WHAT RECESS WEEK.
Haha seriously think the university named it wrongly or something because it doesn't feel any less stressful even during this one week break from class. On a side note, I still had tax class because we missed one lesson due to the Chinese New Year break.

Craving for more holidays!!

Bugis+

Because you need to date more during the holidays to make up for mugging hours in school when the semester resumes. Haha what a lousy way of phrasing things. Headed down to Bugis+ today to meet the boy after his internship interview with KPMG(:

As we were both kind of full, we decided to grab a small lunch, by sharing a bowl of ramen(:
This Japanese corner thing is somewhere at the 3rd or 4th floor of bugis+ (can't really remember...) and it's like the gathering of all the Japanese stalls in one area and they work like Marche. So basicaly you will be given a card when you enter the area, free seating, and you give them your card when you order food. Payment will be made at the end where you return the card to the cashier and she will like scan the QR code on the card to retrieve your bill.

We ordered this three good ramen hahaha which has all three kinds of meat because. WE NEED MEAT. So our chicken, pork and beef ramen came with a half-boiled egg and I couldn't resist taking a photo. EXCUSES. Okay I just wanted to take we-fies.

So as we were on our way to the cinema to get our tickets for Dragon Blade, we saw people eating llaollao and we were like omg where where. Llaollao was situated opposite this arcade (?) shop with this sheep. Laughed quite hard when I saw this:

Isn't it supposed to be like 'Once broken considered sold', so this is like some epic variation of it. Considered sold when dropped hahahaha. A big sheep for $180, would you take the risk of standing near it?

Had our llaollao fix. Blurry photo because I am too excited to eat my llaollao so my hand was very steady~ tried white chocolate sauce this time instead of black chocolate, and caramelised cookies for crunch. Yeap, we all know that llaollao is just another overpriced trend now (which is dying unfortunately) but sometimes we want to join the bandwagon too(:

Off to catch our movie at 4.20pm. The movie was cool like typical Jackie Chan movies but I really don't like the starting of the show.. It's like just redundant really, unless you're like a big fan of Vanessa Wu(?) But apparently I am not so I kinda thought the director could have just gone without it and the story would flow perfectly fine... Kingsmen was still a better movie though, watch that watch that!

Headed back to school for some gambling drinking session with Jeremy and his hall 8 friends~

Banana Oatmeal with Chocolate Cookies

Breakfast fix to start my day. The only sugar will come from the bananas and the crushed chocolate cookies(:

Morganfield's - Home of Sticky Bones

Looking all stud in the tie.

Met Jeremy after his internship interview with Ernst&Young today to catch a movie at Suntec. Decided to try Morganfield's - Home of Sticky Bones

I got myself a pork chop and Jeremy ordered beer-battered fish fillet. Here's the set lunch menu:

We thought the price was pretty inexpensive considering we got a drink, a choice of either salad or soup of the day and a main course.
For the pork chop, the meat was a little tough but nicely seasoned. The sauce topping tasted a little exotic for those who are interested to try out new sauces, this would be a good choice.
The beer-battered fish fillet was crispy and golden brown. Didn't really have any beer taste and Jeremy just laughed at me when I commented. But yea, decent fish and chips with generous serving for fries and tartar sauce.

The staff were really friendly and I was really impressed so I filled in the feedback form for them (without leaving my contact details, because  I really really don't want to receive advertisements and promotion flyers from them. Sorry!)

Went to catch the movie Kingsmen and it was really good. Really. If you can only watch one movie for the month: Kingsmen.

Good start to recess week(:
