Surprise surprise

In my most comfortable dress of all time -- a black basic cotton maxi dress -- to bring me through midweek. I really love long dresses and skirts as they sort of lengthens my legs (I've always wanted to be taller, norming at a height of 1.65m now).

Headed down to the post office today to send some love to Taiwan.

It's a public holiday (Deepavali) and initially I was still troubling on whether the post offices in Singapore would be open. So I consulted Google -- my best friend really -- on the opening hours of post office branches in Singapore and thank goodness the branch located at Jurong Point was open till 9.30pm. Awesome!!

Being a noob as usual, I was just lost and didn't really know what to do.. I have sent letters overseas before, but not parcels or bulky envelopes. Initially I was thinking maybe I should just stick two 70c stamps that I bought previously and just dump it into the posting box, but I was really afraid the mail would get stuck or lost or abandoned.. After hesitating for like five minutes, yes I stood in the middle of the post office for five long minutes, I decided to approach the customer counter.

Which I should have just went to from the start because the customer service staff was so friendly! She was really patient and nice and she just helped me stick all the necessary labels on my mail. It was really fortunate that I decided to approach the counter because delivery costed way more than 140c, which means that if I had decided to be a bimbz and just stick all my remaining stamps on the envelope and leave it to fate, it may not even leave Singapore...

That concludes my really awesome experience at SingPost and I really hope my mail would be safe and arrive on time~
