Valentines' day with the boy~
Had a simple valentines date with the boy that didn't start very well initially but glad the day ended fine!(: Both me and his mum were late in the morning so that led to a really grumpy boyfriend in the morning which was thankfully appeased by the tiny pooh key chain I crocheted throughout the night.. which is the reason why I was late.
Small guy there but a lot of effort kay, especially since I am not a pro in this crocheting thing YET. Haha I really like how the crocheted plushies look -- so delicate and filled with effort -- because the whole thing was just a string. Didn't buy any gifts for the boy because this boy suggested no gift exchange for valentines day with a lousy reason of vday being a marketing gimmick for shops and all. Honestly, I was a little disappointed and was going to just not give him anything at all but after thinking about it for a while, I thought that gifts didn't really have to be bought... It's the thought that counts and so I made him something instead(: Win-win situation: he gets a gift, I didn't buy it.
Morning was a drive to get some breakfast, after driving his mum to school. Being foodies, we ordered 2 plates of carrot cake from a hawker centre in Jurong. I can't really remember the name of the hawker, but their carrot cake is really good -- the pancake style white carrot cake. Irresistible so we had to go for double portions.
After filling our tummies, we headed to the fishery port to get some fresh and cheap salmon fillets -- planning ahead to fill our tummies for the noon. Drove back to his house to have some ice cream: 2 tubs of BnJ (: So sinful but it's valentines day alright!
Then we turned on our competitiveness and tried the new card game that Jeremy bought. AND I WON. The first 2 rounds *flips hair* Quite an accomplishment and hence the photo, because the boyfriend is so good at games, the previous time I won once out of maybe 20 matches?
Had a simple abalone maggie with honey wings for dinner YUMYUMMM and the boy drove me home(: Journey to the east, thanks dear.
More valentines day together!! Next year, next next year, and many more years down.
